Remember that the gospel you profess is not merely doctrine to be tucked away in your mind. It needs to live in your heart. Nor is it only to be talked about with the tongue but must be expressed in your behavior and actions. “Be doers of the word and not hearers only, thereby deceiving yourselves,” the apostle writes (James 1:22). God adopted you as his children so that Christ’s likeness may be seen in you. God has chosen and called you to be temples so that he may live in you by his Holy Spirit.
